Production Engineer

Job Description

We are hiring a Production Engineer for Iron & Steel manufacturing operations.

The candidate will be responsible for shop floor production activities, process control, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all operations are carried out as per production plan and process parameters.
• Conduct patrolling inspections and process control activities on shop floor.
• Organize and implement daily production activities.
• Ensure compliance with process control parameters and quality standards.
• Monitor manufacturing activities and material accountability on shop floor.
• Control process rejection and improve production efficiency.
• Coordinate with Production Control Department for smooth operations.
• Maintain production records and quality documentation.
• Conduct daily meetings and support continual improvements.
• Ensure worker safety and usage of safety equipment.
• Support maintenance of equipment and devices on shop floor.
• Achieve production targets, quality standards, and scrap control objectives.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, TPM, and 5S.
• Knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, 7QC tools, and 4M change.
• Understanding of permit to work system, HIRA, and waste management.
• Knowledge of machine guarding and basic electrical safety.
• Good communication, reporting, and leadership skills.
• Problem-solving ability and result-oriented mindset.
• Basic computer knowledge and teamwork capability.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and follow work instructions.
